The most suitable way to describe Elleodin’s single ‘Lena’ would be as ‘abstract’ electronica. This strange track pushes the boundaries of sub-genres within electronic music, making Lena worth a listen even if just for the sake of curiosity.
Unfolding in a turbulent manner, Lena has a strangely chaotic and disruptive energy to it, keeping you at the edge of your seat throughout the whole song.
The second track, a reversed version of Lena, echoes back in time in a slow evolving manner with warped drums and intertwining synths. Elleodin’s unearthly vocals are both captivating and alienating with powerful high pitched cries that teeter on the edge of being completely unpleasant. Overall, Lena is a bizarre and absorbing experience. Whether it will be comfortable one or not, we cannot say.
P.S. If that doesn't sell it to you, here's an official review from Aviary Bridge Records' very own LeVirya:
"Weird af but I'm loving it!!!"
Lena is now available on iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp.
